How it works

Match your canola seed purchase with a canola contract and receive up to $10/MT premium on your canola contract up to a maximum of 0.2268 MT/ac (10 bushels per acre).

Example 1

68.04 MT of canola

  • Book and purchase 300 acres of canola seed
  • Purchase 300 acres of crop herbicide
  • Contract 68.04 MT of canola (3000 bu)
  • Receive $10/MT x 68.04 MT = $680.40

Example 2

100 MT of canola

  • Book and purchase 300 acres of canola seed
  • Purchase 300 acres of crop herbicide
  • Contract 100 MT of canola (4409 bu)
  • Receive $10/MT x 68.04 MT = $680.40

Note: 68.04 MT is the maximum as the 300 acres of canola seed is the limiting factor

Example 3

50 MT of canola

  • Book and purchase 300 acres of canola seed
  • Contract 50 MT of canola (2204 bu)
  • Receive $5/MT x 50 MT = $250.00
  • Maximum rebate works out to $2.27/ac ($10/MT x 0.2268 MT/ac) for matching acres of canola seed and canola contracting.
  • $5/MT rebate for matching acres of canola seed and canola contracting. $10/MT rebate when you also match with the respective herbicide system (ie. Liberty, Glyphosate, Odyssey, Ares, Salute, Tensile, Solo).

Canola seed is based on a 10ac/22.7kg seeding rate.
5MT minimum contract.
